How to Set Up Alerts in TradingView

First, ensure you’re using an indicator that supports alerts. Many of TradingView’s indicators, as well as custom scripts, allow for alert creation. For example, indicators like StatMap have built-in alert functionalities.

When you set up an alert in TradingView, the settings of the indicator on your chart at the moment you create the alert will directly influence how the alert behaves going forward.
Make sure to customize the indicator’s settings according to your personal preferences, and ensure your chart is set to the correct timeframe and TradingView ticker where you want the alerts to trigger.

Click on the indicator’s name at the top left of your screen.
Click on the three dots that appear right next to the name.
Select “Add alert on [indicator name]”.

Notification Types
On the Notifications tab, you can choose between several different options.
The most common ones are:
Notify in app
This will send a push notification to the TradingView Mobile App
Show toast notification
This will send a notification pop up in the corner of your chart
Send email
This will send a notification to the email address specified in your profile

Manage alerts
You are now all set up.
To manage your ongoing alerts, click on the alarm clock icon located on the right side of your screen. Here, you’ll be able to view the Alert Logs and you can pause, resume, or delete any active alerts. This makes it easy to adjust your alerts based on market changes or new strategies, keeping your trading workflow efficient and up-to-date.
