New Features
The October 2024 update added the Offset line style, Mean and Median calculation methods, Points or Percent units and a custom timezone.
Discover the latest updates, including customizable calculation methods and the ability to switch between points and pips for better precision. Tailor the indicators to fit your trading style.
New “Offset” Line Style
The “Offset” option allows you to plot levels to the right of the latest candle, enabling you to fully focus on price action with minimal distractions. By keeping the chart clear, this style helps you make quicker decisions without cluttering your view. It’s perfect for traders who want a cleaner, more streamlined visual experience.
New Calculation Methods
Take full control of how your levels are calculated with the new options for Median and Mean averages (see Mean vs Median). The Median represents the middle value of all available data points, while the Mean averages every data point for a more traditional approach.
Additionally, we’ve introduced the ability to choose between Points and Percent to measure price movements. This is especially useful when working with historical data, such as 10-20 year-old Nasdaq data, where prices around 3,000 resulted in much smaller ranges in points. More on this in Measuring Ranges: Points or Percent?.
These new features offer greater flexibility, allowing you to tailor the indicator even more precisely to your personal trading preferences.
Custom Timezone
Previously, time levels were always displayed in New York Time (EST). Now, the StatMap indicators let you choose a custom timezone. These time levels show when the high or low of the session typically forms on average, helping you better anticipate potential reversal points based on your preferred local time.
These options are still part of the current version. For everything that changed since, see StatMap° v4: Major Update.
